We own a home with cedar siding mixed with stacked stone. The look is very traditional mixed with a bit of a Cape Cod-esque vibe! So the color combination needed to work with the look of a Nantucket house, with a lot of gray and white, but also the warmth of stones that have yellow/orange hues. Not an easy feat!

I’d like to thank the original homeowners (we are the second) for finding these paint colors because they nailed it. The color has a slight blue undertone – which speaks my language. I love the mix of a cool blue gray up against both blue and white paint. It’s very fresh!

The plantation shutters are painted in Sherwin Williams Tricorn Black SW 6258.

The house trim paint is Sherwin Williams SW 7004 Snowbound.

The black exterior paint color used was Tricorn Black. We wanted a very strong and bold black exterior paint color to sharply contrast the cool gray paint color and Sherwin Williams Snowbound white soft white.

Tricorn black exterior paint is an excellent shade and to me, the one  of best Sherwin Williams exterior paint colors to use as an accent color. We’ve lived in our home nearly 14 years, and only had to paint the house once in that time. The black really holds up to the strong sun and elements our house gets.

We couldn’t be happier with the Sherwin Williams exterior paint combinations we used. So happy in fact, that when it came time to repaint the home, I didn’t want to change one shade. I even asked my interior designer, friends and neighbors what they thought of my home paint colors. All unanimously agreed that this was a perfect trio of SW exterior paint colors!
