We threw a COVID surprise party for our daughter. We had a family party with an outdoor movie and night swimming to celebrate her big thirteenth birthday! Big and Impactful Balloon Decoration Ideas!
We used a giant balloon garland outside by the movie theater as both a backdrop behind us (perfect for photos!) and underneath the screen. We didn’t want to cover the screen too much, but it was nice to be able to have a greta visual while you’re watching the movie.
Giant 24″ balloons filled with heliums decorated the yard to add major lunch with fewer balloons! Each balloon had it’s own weight, shiny decorative straight and silver tassel to finish it off. These are awesome because you can move them around when the party moves to new rooms!
A second balloon garland was put inside our home leading up the stairs to her room, and then around her bedroom entry. Balloon decoration ideas are endless – for me, I wanted them in the main visible areas of the party. They made such an impact!
Complete Party Balloon Decorations
For her actual room, Color Block Media LLC filled her room with helium-filled balloons. Some balloons had gold painted feathers hanging from them (to work with your Anthro inspired decor she picked out herself!) and some had black and white photos of her when she was growing up. This was an adorable way to display photos without the trouble and expense of buying frames

Kera from Color Block Media LLC created this DIY Balloon garland herself. She ordered everything from Amazon and put in the hours to make it. Personally, I am grateful for her help because it saved so much time! But they seem fairly easy to do, you just need the patience!
