Light Blue Gray Paint Color

This is the second part of my new paint color series, showcasing the color Benjamin Moore Gray Wisp. It’s possibly the best light blue paint color I’ve come across.

I get asked a lot about the paint colors used in our home. We used light blue paint colors throughout our home. I thought it would be helpful to share the Benjamin Moore gray paint colors we used along with examples to show how they work together.

Let’s start with how I use BM gray Wisp in our sun room.

The color Gray Wisp is actually only in one room of our house the Sun Room. While I typically believe in using one primary color throughout the home, you can add pops of new colors so long as they work within a coherent paint scheme. Light blue paint colors work beautifully throughout a home.

We recently redid our kitchen in a blue and white scheme, and it was a way to carry the color over into a room without using the blue on the wall.

In this room I wanted to show off all of the natural light and work with that gorgeous brightness is provides. Benjamin Moore Gray Wisp is one of the light blue paint colors that shows more true blue.

It does have gray undertones but it’s really a more Tiffany-esque style color than gray. I’ve always called this room the “Jewel Box” because everything in it is very feminine and light.

My interior designer came up with this great idea to paint everything the same Gray Wisp color. The trim and ceiling all have the same color.

The only white trim you’ll see is on the window and door frames.

By keeping the side wall trim and ceiling the same blue color the effect is very enveloped and almost brings the high 25′ ceilings down to create a more warm space. It works beautifully to create a full room of blue instead of making the ceiling white. This trick alone helps create the atmosphere and I believe is one of the reasons it’s my most asked about paint color!

It’s a really beautiful light blue paint color!
