Benjamin Moore Dark Gray Recommendation
This is the third part of my paint color series featuring Benjamin Moore classic gray paint used throughout our home. This post is showcasing the color Benjamin Moore Squirrel Tail which is a beautiful Benjamin Moore dark gray. Benjamin Moore classic gray paint colors are used in our home. Benjamin Moore grays work together within one home. We are going room by room showing how the gray Benjamin Moore paint colors look in each room with varying light conditions and then how they look when pulled together as a full paint color plan. A paint color plan brings cohesiveness to your home.
Never judge a paint color by it’s name! Had I done this I would have missed out on this gorgeous gray paint color! The color Squirrel Tail is a gorgeous, rich gray paint color and is only used in our Master Bedroom. To look at the name or the sample you’d never know how this color looks on the wall. It has an almost velvet-like appearance.
Our Master Bedroom gets very little natural light so the color reads darker. When the windows are open it does lighten, but my intention was for a dark, hotel-like bedroom. I wanted it to feel luxurious and pampering so the gray serves that purpose well.
This color is not used anywhere in our home so it allows our bedroom to stand out, yet the tones work beautifully when grouped among the primary colors of our home.
The ceiling is painted in half the formula Squirrel Tail. So it’s 50% Squirrel Tail, 50% white. This is fairly standard practice for ceiling colors.
