Sharing a peak into our bright foyer. The natural light in here is breathtaking. The furniture is light colored to bring out that sunlight. The floors are a dark stone, which I’ve never loved but we didn’t build the house. Instead of decorating for the floors, my designer taught me to decorate for the look you’re going for. I have always loved that tip.
When she brought in a turquoise lamp I was so impressed. The pop of color works perfectly with the lightness of the decor and almost “introduces” you to the rest of the home which has shades of blue throughout (shocker).
There are two pieces like this that sit opposite each other. So when you walk in you have both ivory chests, mirror and lamps on either side. The decor on them is just different.
The paint color is Benjamin Moore, Brushed Aluminum. That is the primary paint color throughout my entire home.

I’ve sourced some great lookalikes here for the bright foyer look we have in our home. If you want details on anything specifically that I have, write a comment and I’ll send you sources!

This space is simply gorgeous! Every detail is perfection. And I love the tip about decorating for the room you’re going for. Great advice!
Thank you Sidney! That’s so nice of you! And I’m glad you liked that tip. It really resonated with me, too! Sometimes we only stare at what we don’t like in a room, versus seeing a new paint color, or lamp that’s what we like and the look we are going for. Adding little by little helps and then you no longer see what you have that you don’t love! Thanks for following along!
