Girl, give me some glitter, some gold and some lights for Christmas and I am all sorts of giddy. We have a traditional tree in our family room but over the years I’ve been slowly adding trees throughout the house. This year I added an elegant Christmas Tree decorated with ribbon, used a flower Christmas tree topper for a Christmas Tree burgundy and gold statement.
Why? Because my kids are older, and I find I have more time to decorate than those early years, and I just love it. I just love, love, love walking around the house and seeing glitter and lights in every room!
This is the first year I added a tree to our dining room. I was aiming for an elegant christmas trees decorated with ribbon and faux flowers on a flocked tree. I placed a flocked tree (READ HOW TO PICK A FLOCKED TREE HERE) because I think the snowy white look fits in with the aesthetic.
Working off of the formal fall tablescape I did in October I decided to re-use nearly everything in that and place it on the tree.
Re-using the fall tablescape made the tree decorations more affordable, and so much easier than storing the fall stuff, pulling things down from the attic, and starting from scratch!
Easy, less expensive, quick. Hello, my idea of decorating!

Afloral Silk flowers are the bomb. I’ve used their FAUX FLOWERS OUTSIDE as well!
They make all kinds of levels of flowers – plastic, silk and (my favorite) real touch. These silk flowers are so beautiful. Among the tons of reasons I love them is you only buy them once, but you use them forever. You can mix and match them all season long. This one purchase of flowers lasted from October through January! And you could easily add in some fresh colors to make a winter or spring arrangement!
