Holiday Home Decor using Frontgate Holiday Collection
I love Christmas. And I love holiday home decor. I actually have an entire holiday category dedicated to how I decorate for each holiday to provide inspiration! The Frontgate holiday collection is one of my go-to places for gorgeous investment pieces. Especially the Frontgate ornaments and Frontgate trees! My three little ones love to help me with holiday house decoration! For years it was my daughter who loved decorating the most. She helped me hang everything on the mantle and the Frontgate Christmas trees. She would love it and tell me how beautiful everything looks, but this year it’s one of my identical twin boys who had even more fun with holiday decorating! His bed is completely covered in gold glitter decorations, his little tree from Target is lit up on his desk and he is not at all satisfied with the amount of Christmas decor I gave up. I couldn’t shower him with enough Frontgate Christmas ornaments. “More, more, more!” he’s always shouting! So cute. A Mommy’s job is never done – but this year I’m happy to keep going because after all, being a Mommy and seeing happy little faces on Christmas is what I’ve dreamed out my entire life. We’ve got our decorations, we’ve got our Frontgate artificial Christmas trees, we’ve got the giggles and smiles. Here we come Christmas!
My Favorite Way to Decorate our Home
In our dining room I love to go a little more formal. But at the same time, I love simplicity. I don’t overdo on color or glitter. I think just enough twinkle in shades of gold, silver and ivory add a perfect balance of elegance and warmth in this room.
Holiday House Decoration Centerpiece
The manzanita branch centerpiece is something I made years ago in lieu of a chandelier (though I hope to get a chandelier one day!). It helped add height. This room is at least 25′ feet tall so it needed something to fill the space. I love it because it’s now the perfect way to change the decorations seasonally. My daughter and I have fun changing them out and it’s something we do together for each holiday. We used Frontgate ornaments to fill it out along with some pearl sprays. Their ornaments are the prefect arrangement for Frontgate Christmas trees.

Frontgate Trees – a decision you won’t regret
I’ve tried all kinds of Christmas trees before and my favorite is by far Frontgate trees. Frontgate artificial Christmas trees have the majestic look everyone wants in a real tree with none of the mess. Frontgate trees are so fun to decorate in any theme or style you like. I love mine and love changing the tone on it every year. Frontgate artificial Christmas trees are the way to go this holiday season!
Boxwood Wreaths
In our Sun Room, I also go minimal (this is a theme of mine, have you noticed?) A gorgeous boxwood wreath hangs in the center, with a few pretty pieces from Pottery Barn throughout. I use a gorgeous Frontgate holiday collection ribbon to hang the wreath with Frontgate Christmas ornaments on the wreath. Also, this preserved boxwood that I found locally has shockingly lasted for years. Every year before I hang it I give it a good soaking in a tub of water and then re-soak it before storing it in an air-conditioned storage area in my house for the remainder of the year.
Mantel and Tree
For our Family Room holiday house decoration we have a much more traditional stone and wood fireplace. We didn’t build the home but I thought this was pretty so we kept it. The room is very much a mix of clean lined furniture, gorgeous drapes that have great color, but perhaps a more traditional feel to them and then this fireplace. I’ll be sure to post a blog on our home in the future, but for now I’m concentrating on holiday! I love reds, burgundy and golds in this room. It feels cozy but elegant. The garland is from the Frontgate holiday collection (notice the amazing ribbon details again) and the other pieces are things I’ve collected over the years like my Frontgate Christmas ornaments. My kids stockings are from Pottery Barn Kids (they are so cute).

Our family room tree isn’t magazine perfect and I never want it to be. To me, the perfect Frontgate Christmas trees for us are a mix of Frontgate ornaments that are beautiful, but most importantly ones that represent our family. I am a sentimental fool, so I have ornaments given to us as newlyweds, when our babies were born, bought on special vacations and best of all – the handmade ones from our little ones. My favorite memories of holiday time growing up was pulling out the ornaments one by one with my sisters saying “I remember this!” and then telling the story behind it. My kids did it altogether this year and I just sat and listened. At the end of the hour, every ornament was hung at the bottom all in the exact same spot, but I didn’t mind. I watched and I listened. I even secretly set up the video camera to tape it! And then I re-hung everything on the Frontgate artificial Christmas trees when they weren’t looking!

Real Tree versus Artificial Frontgate Christmas Trees
We use pre-lit Frontgate Christmas trees from the Frontgate holiday collection for holiday home decor. These Frontgate trees are amazing! We have had ours for two years and I love it. After years of insisting on buying a live tree each year I have to say the ease of this is amazing (I have enough to clean with three kids) and it looks so gorgeous and authentic! I mixed in Frontgate ornaments ribbon, pearl and gold picks all from Frontgate. Last year they also sold this gorgeous mix of ivory and gold Frontgate Christmas ornaments that I bought and have not regretted at all. Their items may be pricy, but I think their holiday pieces are gorgeous.
Update: Since this post on my holiday house decoration I did add a magazine worthy tree to our sunroom. You’ll enjoy sneaking a peak at the Frontgate Christmas Trees decorated in all blue with blue Frontgate Christmas ornaments here
Frontgate Artificial Christmas Trees
I would highly recommend the Frontgate artificial Christmas trees over the bargain brand. It’s a decision you won’t regret!
