A pink party with inexpensive baby shower decor.
What seems like ages ago, I hosted a baby shower for my dear friend’s third baby. Because this was her third baby, my hope was to make it very, very special but still use inexpensive baby shower decor to make the day affordable.
First of all, this friend is very special to me. She’s one of those people who just makes you smile and accepts you for who you are. Most importantly, she’s the definition of what I look for in friends – people who cheer you on when life is going your way, and hold your hand and listen when it isn’t. She recently underwent a massive surgery on her heart. As a result of having her third baby and this surgery she’s had a very tough year.
What I find most frustrating is that I can’t help her now. I’ve asked her what can I do to make life easier? But she’s in one of those ruts in life we all go through. The kind of rut you just have to power through. The light is at the end of the tunnel, my dear friend, if you’re reading this. I love you with all of my heart and remember this day and the joy of celebrating your third baby girl.
To save on money and have inexpensive baby shower decor I used a local Mom who bakes to make the cupcakes. Because she was happy for the business, she made really cute ones but within my budget. They had fondant so they looked special but were very affordable. The rest of the decor I bought on Etsy (I love doing this because again, I’m supporting other women who are making extra money.) Some fresh flowers (buy the inexpensive kind for filler) and use candles you already have and voila! I love using the investment pieces like my chargers and candles because they are great filler and then you’re really only spending money on food. Happy planning!
