This year I challenged myself with my Christmas tree decorating. Yes, of course I wanted to have an Elegant Christmas tree with decorations that worked within my home. But I thought it would be fun to try new ideas.
Challenge one: step outside my comfort zone of blue trees (see 2016’s icy blue tree here and 2017’s blue and gold tree here.) I wanted to see if I could play with both traditional and non-traditional colors but still create them within my style – simple, elegant and tailored.
Challenge #2: create trees using colors that would still be at home in the fall. I had this idea that wouldn’t it be nice to use faux florals at Thanksgiving, and rather than put them away and take down Christmas decor, what if you could repurpose them and totally change their look and purpose? This would not only save time, but money!
Here are the results. Please note, many more detailed photos are coming, as are a lot of posts with more details about how I created them and tips to create your own gorgeous and elegant Christmas tree! This is only the beginning of the holiday fun!
