I stumbled on this black skirt with pearls and fell in love. I thought it would be great inspiration for perfect women’s Christmas party outfits. But then I looked closer. Low and behold – an elastic band skirt! Say what?! So not only is this special occasion skirt already perfect for Christmas, it’s now my favorite “what to wear to Thanksgiving dinner” option because it’s unbelievably comfortable. I mean – I don’t say that lightly. It’s COMFY. It’s gorgeous and absolutely my chosen Thanksgiving wear.

The length is awesome. A pretty midi length that you can easily wear with kids around and lean over safely. It’s lined so not see through. The pearl detail makes it look way more expensive than it is. It’s an effortless skirt. I paired it with a black mock turtleneck (that is so soft) and between both pieces you feel like you’re in jammies. Albeit fancy jammie’s but you’re so comfortable! Thanksgiving wear at it’s finest because you can eat to your hearts content!
Tips:
- Size down. I bought a medium which I typically am and had to return it for a small.
- Wear it with tights if you live in the cold. Or black boots would look awesome, too.
- A bodysuit would be a great option to wear with this, too.

That’s great to hear, Sarah! I would totally put a white tank with it in the summer! I think that may freshen it up and maybe dress it down. Either that or a white silk blouse for work? Or even a white tank and a cropped leather jacket for evening fun!? I appreciate you taking the time to comment!
